The Yamada Language Center has four ongoing objectives for this academic year.

• diversifying our staff

• improving language opportunities for students and the community to study indigenous languages

• seeking federal grants for teacher training in less commonly taught languages

• increasing our community outreach efforts especially where we can provide language services or organizational capacity
