The UO welcomes students who have served our country in the armed forces and their families. The Office of Admissions and the UO Office of Veterans Affairs assist veterans in making a seamless transition from military service to the campus community. Our mission is to ensure that all eligible student veterans, reservists, and dependents obtain educational benefits in compliance with the procedures and regulations of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The UO veterans program connects incoming veterans and their families with current veterans on campus. Whether faculty and staff or a student starting your academic journey, there is a community of veterans on campus that is excited to meet you!
Receive Medical and Mental Health Care
On-campus medical care and mental health services are available to enrolled UO students. There are also centers in Eugene that are managed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Access Resources and Support
The UO takes care of its veterans and their families. On-campus resources are here to support your personal and academic success including financial crisis assistance, career planning, housing options, and child care.

The Veteran Student Welcome and Information Session is recommended for all incoming first years, graduate students, current student veterans, transfers, and family seeking information about veteran and military connected student resources on campus. You may identify as a military connected student if you are active duty, veteran, guard, reserve, or a family member.
We will provide a free lunch! This session will provide information about resources, helpful specifically to military connected students, and include ways to connect and network on campus, as well as opportunity to meet other new and returning military connected students.

We’ll break down the different types of interviews you might face, how to prep without spiraling, and how to answer questions with confidence.
Interviews make you sweaty, anxious, or just a little dramatic? Perfect. We’ve got strategies to help you feel prepared and way more chill.
International students: get the inside scoop on U.S.-style interviews. No prior experience needed!
