For the first time in school history, No. 3 seed Oregon is playing in its second consecutive Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament after defeating No. 11 Rhode Island XX-XX Sunday in the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The #3 Oregon Ducks began Pac-12 play the same way they began the season--winning. However, this game was different. The Ducks did not dominate the game in the same fashion they are used to, but Maggie Balint pitched out of two timely jams and Gwen Svekis connected for her fourth home run of the season.
