Grove Community Garden Work Party
2:00 p.m.Nov
8
2:00–4:00 p.m.
Volunteer at UO's only student-led community garden. Nearly every Sunday from 2-4 pm at the Grove Community Garden (just behind Global Scholars Hall).
Work parties are when we come together to collectively care for the space. We have raised beds and other planting areas that are managed by the overall community to produce food (mainly vegetables) for the student food pantry, the SSC Produce Drop, Eugene Food Not Bombs, and of course (and often primarily) those who come each week to volunteer. So, a typical work party may include harvesting food, weeding beds, sowing seeds/transplanting starts, chipping a wood path, etc. There is no signup ahead of time, the only prep beforehand is dressing for the weather in clothes you don't mind some dirt/sweat on.
Sign up for our newsletter for weekly reminders and updates, and follow us on Instagram too!
Note that at times, we have to cancel/reschedule work parties due to unpredictable circumstances, and we may be unable to update this recurring weekly posting. See the above channels for the most up-to-date information. Feel free to email info@uoregon.College with any questions or inquiries.

Lonely Craft Sale 📅 Friday, November 13 | ⏰ 10AM–12PM | 📍 UO Craft Center, EMU Ground Floor
Give a lonely craft a new home! The Craft Center Lonely Craft Sale features abandoned, unfinished, and left-behind craft projects from our studios. These pieces were started by makers at the Craft Center but, for one reason or another, never made it home. Now they're looking for someone new to finish, repurpose, display, or simply give them a little love. Shop one-of-a-kind projects, give an abandoned craft a second chance, and support Craft Center programs, equipment, and student opportunities. No Winter Lonely Craft Sale: We will not be having a Winter Lonely Craft Sale this year. If you miss this one, we'll see you in the spring on April 30 for the Spring Lonely Craft Sale! The UO Craft Center is a recreational makerspace in Erb Memorial Union where students, faculty, staff, and community members can explore a variety of creative practices, including ceramics, glass, jewelry and metalsmithing, fibers, printmaking, painting and drawing, photography, woodshop, welding and fabrication, and more.
