Kara Eubanks

Dr. Kara Eubanks is violin faculty at the University of Oregon and director of the Willamette Violin Academy in Eugene, Oregon. She has performed solo and chamber music across North America and Europe, and was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Paris’ Fontainebleau Chamber Orchestra, and NYC’s DiCapo Opera. In 2014, she was inducted into the Sycamore Music Hall of Fame in her hometown of Sycamore, Illinois.

Kara has been featured on MTV, NPR, and Daytrotter, and has recorded on Eenie Meenie and Lookout! Records. Her discography includes collaborations with Troubled Hubble, The Gunshy, Inspector Owl, Future Monarchs, Minova, and Andrew Jackson Jihad.

Kara’s most precious teachers and mentors have been Mathias Tacke, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Danny Phillips, Cyrus Forough, Ann Montzka Smelser, Ed Kreitman, Charles Krigbaum, Daina Staggs, and Jackie Bartsch.
