Career and Networking Events

Creativity and technology can go hand-in-hand! Let's meet some Oregon companies that are innovating across industries (tech, video game design, marketing/graphic design, etc…) AND explore Eugene all at the same time! Hop on the bus and let’s go explore!

Students will have the opportunity to tour local companies passionate about creating innovative solutions for complex problems, and helping YOU learn more about all the different types of job functions needed to keep this growing industry booming. They are excited to introduce you to careers and internships at their companies, meet alumni and leaders, and show off some of their innovations in action! OUTLINE OF TOUR:

Meet at Ford Alumni Center Lobby (near Matt Knight Arena Duck Statue) NO LATER THAN 9am; We'll walk over to the bus stop (Agate) to catch the EMX to downtown Eugene. All our sites are within walking distance of one another, so be prepared to get some exercise! While at the stops, you'll get an opportunity to tour their facilities as well as meet with leaders in the field. At 1 we'll be done with the tour and you can stick around downtown to keep exploring and grab lunch OR a group will be getting on the bus to head back to campus you can join.

Ask a recruiter what career readiness skills you can be building now to make you a top candidate in the present or future (and add them to your Linkedin network for future connections!).
• You want to find a job, internship, year of service, volunteer opportunity, and more! If you're actively job searching, have your resume ready to hand out and a short and sweet synopsis about yourself and your professional interests ready to go! If you're just exploring options, collect contact info, do some additional research, and do an informational interview to learn more before you apply.
• You want to build your confidence! Practice asking questions of employers AND sharing about who you are and what you're passionate about.  Every expo you attend and each time you approach a recruiter, you get more and more comfortable presenting yourself in a professional manner.

WHO'S COMING? Find your career fit with over 70+ employers comprised of private industry; public, educational, and non-profit organizations; local government, the federal government, law enforcement, and military--ALL on campus and excited to share more with you about their organization and early career talent opportunities. Open to students from ALL majors, classifications, and identities. Every expo looks a little different so come each term to keep exploring and expanding your career opportunities!

Meet multiple employers eager to hire interns and college grads in one evening. Ask direct questions, learn tips and insights on how to improve your application and stand out, and make an in-person impression for your next steps or the near future! Spots are limited so early registration is encouraged.

BizCareers in Marketing, Sales, and Analytics is a unique recruiting event facilitated by the Lundquist College of Business, not a career fair, but focused industry hiring and insights. If you are ready to apply and land your summer internship or post-grad role—or to make an impression and learn what it will take in the following year—be sure to attend!

This is a recruiting event. Use this as a chance to explore how your interests align with each company's roles, culture, and career paths. Come prepared with research on each company, an updated resume, and clear talking points about your interests and skills. Attend a preparatory session, meet with an advisor, or visit drop-in advising in Lillis 155.

Attending companies are limited to 8 to 10 who are actively hiring for internships or college grad roles for the 2026–2027 cycle. Many companies are offering multiple openings or cohort-style hiring, meaning strong chances for placement. Round robin format rotations through up to 8 sessions with small groups of 20 to 25 students will allow for focused time with hiring teams. Each session may also include an informative talk, meet and greet, or question and answer session depending on the company.

Be sure to attend the follow-up opportunity the next morning (October 23) at BizCareers Breakfast, an open networking session from 9:00–10:00 a.m. in the atrium of the Lillis Business Complex to continue building relationships with recruiters from the event. Demonstrate your interest, commitment, and initiative!

Tuesday, November 17, from noon-3pm in the EMU Crater Lake Room (next to Panda Express) at NO COST to you! hosted by the University Career Center + UO Student Sustainability Center.

Browse through new or gently used business casual & business professional clothes like: blazers, slacks, suits, dresses, polos, button-ups, skirts, ties, belts, and anything else you might want to wear to a job interview! A variety of styles and sizes to choose from! Check out the UCC's "Dress The Part" Boards on Pinterest to see what kinds of office style vibes you might want to shop for! 

Not sure what to pick? We'll have volunteers around who can help you pick styles that reflect your individuality and the industry you're wanting to break into.
