Thank you for bringing your talents to the Department of Theatre Arts! Declaring a major or minor is easy—simply click the “Declare or Drop Major or Minor” button below, and it will take you to an online form. If you are a transfer student, please indicate that on your form.
Before you declare theatre arts as a major or minor, please review our major or minor requirements.
After you submit the online form:
- Your declaration of a theatre arts major or minor will be processed and sent to the Registrar’s Office. Please note that it may take up to four weeks for the Registrar’s Office to make the change official.
- If you are trying to register for classes that are restricted to majors or minors, please email the instructor of the course. Let them know that you have recently declared your major or minor and are waiting for the change to appear on your student record.
- You will also be added to our Theatre Arts Canvas Community site so that you receive TA announcements every Friday during the academic year, including departmental information, audition notices, production opportunities, and student or theatre-focused activities. You can also use this form to subscribe or unsubscribe to Theatre Arts Canvas Community.
To drop the major or minor, you may submit the same form after completing only the required questions.
