Disruptions occurring during a scheduled event at the EMU today lead to two arrests for disorderly conduct and one for harassment. The individuals were warned about their behaviors and chose to continue.  The event has concluded.

Turning Point USA reserved the EMU amphitheater for the October 28 event, agreeing to UO event policies. Our facilities are available for public use. Many different organizations regularly schedule events on campus.

The University of Oregon upholds the right to free expression and academic freedom as essential to our mission. We are committed to upholding these rights while fostering an inclusive and respectful campus.

If investigation finds that the people involved in any disruption are connected to UO, they will be investigated for any potential violations of the Student Conduct Code or employee ethics policies.

If it is determined those policies were violated, the university will consider appropriate actions at that time.

Any additional information will be at alerts.uoregon.edu.
