The Peter A. DeFazio Exhibit intern will aid in curating an exhibit exploring the career of Congressman Peter DeFazio, working specifically on materials concerning Oregon tribal affairs. Under the direction of a Special Projects Archivist, the intern will gain hands-on experience with archival materials to tell the story of Peter DeFazio’s congressional career through material selection, research and the creation of interpretive materials. The exhibit is scheduled for install in fall of 2027.
Regular duties will include researching Congressman DeFazio’s legislative record and accomplishments; drafting exhibit captions, object labels, and interpretive text; working with physical and digital archival materials; collaborating with SCUA staff on exhibit design and preservation requirements and draft outreach materials for a general audience
Intern will work ten-fifteen hours a week, between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. Hourly compensation $17.50. Full position description here.
