it’s just a big city

I went in to this trip knowing I probably don’t want to end up in New York. I came out of this trip feeling the same way. Don’t get me wrong, this city is amazing and big and exciting and I loved every second visiting it. But I think that’s how I’ll always want to experience it– just a visit. It’s too busy for me. Too crowded, too corporate, and most of all, too isolating. As weird as it sounds, as big as NYC is, I think I would feel trapped living there. I love being able to get in my car at any given moment and drive to the coast or drive to the mountains or drive anywhere. New York is the dream for a lot of people, but for me, it’s just a big city.
