Own Who You Are

Something I hear often in this industry is to own who you are. Bring your own experiences, knowledge, identities, etc. To me, this is easier said than done because of the fear of being wrong or misunderstood. Being in this city has helped me realize that there is nothing to be scared of. One of the reasons I think this city great is that there’s so much culture that people bring from all over the world. Without that, I don’t think New York would be what it is. Knowing that gives me more confidence to bring who I am to the work I do.
