The Maps app failed me

I could not imagine a time when navigating NYC meant checking maps and asking passersby for help. The iPhone is a blessing that has helped me find lunch places and directions via walking and subway. There is always a bit of controversy when it comes to the GPS app of choice - Google Maps or iPhone Maps. I like to use iPhone Maps. Not all subway trains can be boarded from Grand Central, a hard truth I learned today. Why Maps directed me to Grand Central for the F, I don’t know. But I picked up its slack with fierce power walking and calculated crowd weaving for 5 blocks. With two minutes to spare, I arrived at the agency flustered and sweaty. Lesson learned, check and double check that you’re going the right way. If you still can’t make a confident decision then its back to the golden days of asking people for help.
