Now it’s a beautiful Tuesday. Rokkan has instilled positivity and aspiration into my veins. And most importantly, for the first time this trip, I feel like I can actually breathe. I feel like I can actually be a writer in the ad industry… in New York City. Whether or not I want to actually be here is somewhat being molded by the rest of this journey, but this city is everything.

For a city that seems like it has no rules, it seems to have a ton unwritten ones. Don’t ever - and I mean ever - play chicken with somebody on the sidewalk. You know the whole you go left and they go left, then you try right and they do the same. He was not a happy fellow. There is no time for that nonsense here people.

Answers are coming in hot and furious to all my questions and if there’s a dominate motif across the board here, it’s that Oregon’s green and yellow has had a lot of influence over this industry. Everyone is a duck. I’m pretty sure the guy I played chicken with was a Duck at some point in his life. This city is amazing. It’s overwhelming, but in the most spectacular way.
