Timelapses compress time to reveal movements that our eyes can’t see.

As a photographer, I rely on visuals to inspire and create. However, I know there is content and stories that exist beyond visuals. I’ve rarely enjoyed writing, but after spending the past years surrounded by talented copywriters, I grew curious of the art of writing.

There’s something that words can describe that photos, or even timelapses, can’t capture. During this trip, I wrote down notes at times I felt that I needed to document my thoughts.

On one of the days early in the trip, I thought to myself what and who I appreciate the most in my life. It was an easy answer: I appreciate my friends and the memories I make with them. 

This trip was a great opportunity to learn about the industry, network with key players that make magic. Just as important, was the opportunity to strengthen the network of sojc students. One day, my current colleagues will be the magic makers giving advice. I’m thankful to know my friends and have their support in my own endeavors. These friendships are hard to describe in photos and words, but that doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate them.
