Major in business administration at Oregon

Housed in the Lillis Business Complex — a LEED-certified facility with cutting-edge resources and collaborative spaces—the University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business is about innovation, leadership, and impact as much as it is numbers and strategy. Whether you’re launching a startup, leading a nonprofit, managing a global brand, or transforming industries like sports, tech, or sustainability, this program equips you to lead with purpose and confidence. And with AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting—an honor held by only 1.5% of business schools worldwide—your degree carries global recognition and credibility. You’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking community of students and faculty who are serious about making a difference. With a BA or BS in Business Administration, you’ll gain the tools to turn ideas into action and build a career that reflects your values and ambitions.

Curriculum overview

  • Business administration offers flexibility and depth, allowing you to tailor your education to your interests and career goals.

  • Pursue a general business degree or choose a concentration in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, operations and business analytics, or sports business.

  • Complement your major with minors in business administration, entrepreneurship, sports business, or sustainable business; or earn a certificate in global business.

  • Work on real-world projects, join student-run organizations like the Oregon Consulting Group and the University of Oregon Investment Group, and study abroad to gain global business perspectives.

Careers in business

Graduates of the Lundquist College of Business are prepared to lead in a wide range of industries and roles. Alumni work at companies like Amazon, University of Oregon Athletics, and Brew Dr. Kombucha (founded by a UO business grad), while others pursue graduate studies or launch their own ventures. Career options include business analyst, marketing manager, financial planner, entrepreneur (think Phil Knight!), sports marketing specialist, sustainability consultant, and operations manager.
