I hereby formally request that the following queries and reports be made publically available to me and to others:As we prepare our formal response to the proposed merger of Romance Languages with other units and to the potential sunsetting of our graduate programs, we want to ensure that our submission is accurate, constructive, and fully aligned with the evaluative framework you are using. To do that, we would be grateful if you could provide us with the complete dataset and longitudinal indicators that informed your analysis.In particular, it would be extremely helpful to receive:• The full set of metrics used to evaluate RL’s graduate programs, including time to degree calculations, admissions trends, attrition, GE allocations, and any internal benchmarks or thresholds applied.
• The longitudinal data consulted (e.g., 5–10 year trends) and how these were weighted in determining program viability.
• Any placement data or professional outcomes included in your assessment.
• Any additional evaluative criteria or methodological frameworks used in reviewing RL’s programs.
• A written comparison with neighboring humanities programs — including EALL, COLT, English, and Philosophy — so that we can understand how RL’s metrics were interpreted relative to other units with different disciplinary structures and graduate pipelines.
