Goal: To advance the rigor and overcome persistent implementation barriers of prior physical activity prescription (Rx) intervention trials among adolescents to counteract their disease risk in the short and long term. This study is innovative because it is (1) the first to have community health workers deliver physical activity Rx to adolescents, (2) the first to employ the new NatureDose phone app in a clinical trial of adolescents, (3) the first trial of its type to intervene at the community level, and (4) designed for sustainability by extending an established community physical activity access pass program and collaborating with existing community health workers employed locally.
