Non-Ad Interests

I think the best conversations I had with people at these agencies regarded all things not advertising. Being able to level with someone about movies, music, culture, anything that is fun makes you seem like you’re not just fishing for a job. Also, I genuinely think these moments were where I actually made the most progress in making connections. Yes these people want talent, but also people they like and think are interesting. So I’m definitely going to start some email threads with these people and we’re going to talk about movies. Because showing your personality is important.
