I don’t know

Ah yes, the infamous question “what are you doing after you graduate” and my favorite answer, “I don’t know.” It seems as though college students get into our minds that a job immediately after college is so essential in some twisted way, as though we must be shoved into the world following a certain path. This trip I have listened to many people’s stories about how they got to NY and where they are now. Every single person got here a different way, with or without a job, and is nowhere close to where they thought they would be. Being patient is easier said than done but, I know that at some point my answer will turn from “I don’t know” to “I know!” and then back to “I don’t know.” There is no one clear way to go about life after college and that openness has given me peace of mind to hustle and find my own way. What is meant to be, will be.
