I do not know how accurate the tracker on my cellphone is, but according to Apple, I walked about 56.2 miles while in New York. The pace of NYC is light years ahead of Eugene. People are not joking around when they need to get from point A to B. However, as much as I like driving, the city gives me way too much anxiety. The honking, the rushed attempts to turn and honk while pedestrians are crossing show how much time really is money in this city. One also has to be on high alert at all times because of this, but it kind of adds some fun to the commute. I also learned that never trust siri, and that the subway can either be your best friend or worst nightmare.
