A Night With The Producers

A strategist can be consider the point guard of the team. As a point guard it is your responsibility to do your best to set your team up for success.That means knowing just when it is time for you to take over the game and score or set your teammates up to score. As a strategist sometimes this requires you to lead, sometimes it requires you to play the background and provide anything that can help your team achieve their goals. The only way you can do this is if you understand everyone’s role on the team not just yours. So, during this trip I would like to spend time with somebody from every expertise so that I can gain a better understanding of what they do. 

Sunday night I started out with the producers. Major shoutout to Justin Hartney for inviting this strategist to tag along with all of his producer friends. Justin and I hit time square rolling with Naoh Wilskey, Thomas Rice, Key Higdon, and Matt Palma. It was great getting a behind the scenes look at their creative process. I was amazed at how collaborative they were. Each of them was excited to share tips and techniques with each other to enhance their craft and help each other hone in on new skills that they may not be comfortable with. I also got to witness just how easily your artistic passion helps you connect with others. While we were out in time square fellow photographers/ cameraman would come bye to introduce themselves to the group we came with. They ended up connecting that night with people from all over the world some barely spoke the same language. That is something that I always like to take note of a hobby or interest that can connect people, I saw that photography can connect people just the same way sports does.
