Awaiting Growth

It’s stunning how much you learn about yourself when you are taken out of you ordinary environment. Perhaps this is why travelling can be equally exhausting as it is exciting. To me, this sensation is similar to the feeling of growing pains. Each day of new discovery is stretching you just a little bit more than the day before. Yet, this is precisely why travel, to me, is the ultimate learning experience. Entering a new culture drives you to understand the unfamiliar and to think about how things are and can be done differently. As I wonder about and anticipate this trip, I am the most excited to see how experiencing the culture of New York will grow me, how it will stretch me and ultimately how it will change me.
