Studio Orientation and Waiver Membership are required for all new studio users not registered for a workshop to become acquainted with studio policies and space usage. Users must have prior experience to take this orientation. Prior experience is defined as workshop or class experience within the past 2 years and a full understanding of the studio processes from beginning to end.

For use of the woodshop and bench room, that experience must include the following: • Proficiency in safely using power tools like saws, drills, and sanders. • Understanding of wood grain and basic joinery techniques. • Knowledge of measurement and cutting accuracy. • Familiarity with sanding, finishing, and sealing wood pieces. • Ability to safely share studio space.
