Studio Orientation and Waiver Membership are required for all new studio users not registered for a workshop to become acquainted with studio policies and space usage. Users must have prior experience to take this orientation. Prior experience is defined as workshop or class experience within the past 2 years and a full understanding of the studio processes from beginning to end.

For the darkroom, that experience must include the following: • Understanding of camera settings (aperture, shutter speed, ISO). • Familiarity with darkroom processes (e.g., developing film and making prints (knowing how enlargers work)). • Ability to safely handle and maintain photo chemistry.
