Transform old blue jeans into beautiful, handcrafted paper in this creative and sustainable papermaking workshop! Participants will learn how recycled denim fibers are processed into pulp and formed into durable, archival-quality sheets of paper. Explore the fundamentals of papermaking, including sheet pulling, couching, pressing, and drying techniques. In addition to creating handmade paper, you'll learn how to emboss custom textures and designs directly into your sheets, adding dimension, pattern, and personal flair to your work. Experiment with natural materials, stamps, and textured objects to create unique surface impressions that make each piece one of a kind. celebrate the creative potential of recycled materials and leave with your own handmade and embossed denim paper along with the skills to continue exploring this versatile art form.
