Born in Mochitl\u00e1n, Guerrero, M\u00e9xico, Obed Francisco Bello J\u00edmenez grew up in Oregon and found it difficult to adjust in a community with few Latino people. He learned both English and Spanish, and as a young adult, appreciates knowing both languages. Obed remains connected to his Mexican roots by visiting his family in M\u00e9xico, and frequently thinks about his family\u2019s struggles but finds solace in his last name \u201cBello,\u201d meaning beautiful.<\/p>\n

Nacido en Mochitl\u00e1n, Guerrero, M\u00e9xico, Obed Francisco Bello J\u00edmenez crec\u00edo en Oreg\u00f3n donde le costo trabajo adaptarse a una comunidad con muy poca gente Latina. Aprendi\u00f3 Ingl\u00e9s y Espa\u00f1ol, y durante su juventud apreci\u00f3 el saber los dos idiomas. Obed se mantiene conectado a sus ra\u00edces Mexicanas visitando a su familia en M\u00e9xico, y aunque frequentemente piensa en lo mucho que luch\u00f3 su familia, tambi\u00e9n se alienta al pensar en su hermoso apellido \u201cBello.\u201d<\/p>\n
