Zachary Boyt
Ambisonic Device
Merging digital fabrication and ambisonic sound manipulation, Zachary Boyt developed this elegant interface out of Honduran rosewood with integrated electronics and wireless connectivity to a host computer. This paired with headphones modified with a 9 degrees of freedom sensor that measures acceleration and angles of head tilt, the work enables exploring spatialized sound with the body’s movement.
