February 22, 2019\u2014<\/strong>The Bonnie Bronson Fund has named the School of Art + Design<\/a>\u2019s Associate Professor of Art Tannaz Farsi<\/a> as the 28th annual Bonnie Bronson Fellow. The prestigious fellowship fosters artists based in the Pacific Northwest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n fellowship comes with a \u201cno-strings-attached” $10,000 award. The Bonnie\n Bronson Fund also purchases an artwork from each fellow to add to its \ncollection at Reed College. Past fellows include big names in the Oregon\n (and national) art world such as Marie Watt and Lucinda Parker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tannaz Farsi<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Farsi\u2014a\n multimedia artist who works in sculpture, photography, drawing, \nprintmaking, and digital media\u2014has taught at the College of Design since\n 2008. Fluorescent lights, text, and photography appear frequently in \nher work. Farsi moved to the U.S. from Tehran in 1985 during the \nIran-Iraq war. She was a Hallie Ford fellow in 2014<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
