She also serves as undergraduate advisor for the Japanese culture major in the Hamilton West residence hall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the nomination for the award, Freedman was lauded for her collaborative work between students and faculty within Hamilton West and for her innovative approaches to student learning and advancement across the university.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018NACADA is the gold standard organization for professional advising,\u2019 said Lisa Freinkel, dean and vice provost for undergraduate studies. \u2018It affirms what we\u2019ve known all along.
