The UO Organization Against Sexual Assault (UO OASA) is bringing renowned sexual violence researcher and prevention advocate David Lisak to the University of Oregon on May 26.<\/p>\n

Lisak will host two public talks. The first will explore sexual predators and take place at 4:15 p.m. in Global Scholars Hall 123. The second will concern the experience of male sexual assault survivors and take place at 7:00 p.m. in Straub Hall 156. This event is free, un-ticketed, and open to the public. Global Scholars Hall and Straub Hall are wheelchair accessible and contain all-gender restrooms on the first floor. An ASL interpreter will be present at both events.<\/p>\n

David Lisak<\/p><\/div>\n

Lisak is a notable forensic consultant and researcher in the sexual violence prevention field. His work on sexual assault has been featured in Jon Krakauer\u2019s book \u201cMissoula,\u201d the documentary \u201cThe Hunting Ground,\u201d and media outlets like National Public Radio. In addition to his research, Lisak has trained and consulted members of the U.S. Military, the Department of Defense, and is a founding board member of 1in6, a nonprofit dedicated to serving men who have faced sexual violence during their childhoods.<\/p>\n
