Wood<\/a>, UO Department of English, will discuss her book <em>Life Writing and Schizophrenia: <\/em><em>Encounters at the Edge of Meaning<\/em> on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. at 3:30 p.m. in the Humanities Center Conference Room. Professor Wood is a member of the CSWS Advisory Board.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Challenging the romanticized connection between literature and madness, <em>Life Writing and Schizophrenia<\/em> explores how writers who hear voices and experience delusions write their identities into narrative, despite popular and medical representations of schizophrenia as chaos, violence, and incoherence.
