Bracho is a writer and educator who has worked in theater, independent film and video, the academy, and community organizing for over 20 years. His lecture will focus on theater as a form of analysis and as a practice of radical consciousness-raising for minoritized communities. Bracho has taught theater and creative writing in university and community settings, and has also worked extensively in harm reduction and HIV prevention within queer Latina\/o communities. Recently, he has worked as an art director, producer, editorial consultant, and co-writer on independent film projects.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In 2012-13, Bracho was Visiting Faculty of Theater at DePaul University in Chicago and in 2004-05 he was an Artist\/Scholar in Residence at UC Santa Barbara.
