{"id":22953,"date":"2015-11-04T12:36:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-04T20:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csws.uoregon.edu\/?page_id=22953"},"modified":"2015-11-04T12:46:50","modified_gmt":"2015-11-04T20:46:50","slug":"archived-programs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/csws-archive.uoregon.edu\/programs\/archived-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"Archived Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csws.uoregon.edu\/programs\/archived-programs\/road-scholars\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Road Scholars Program<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Initiated in 2002, the Road Scholars Program, was conceived as the public lecture and outreach program of the Center for the Study of Women in Society, a University of Oregon research center devoted to generating, supporting, and disseminating research on the complexity of women\u2019s lives and the intersecting nature of gender identities and inequalities. In addition to introducing the center and its mission, the Road Scholars Program offered audiences the opportunity to engage in conversation with UO scholars about issues critical to women and families in our region and beyond. Since the program\u2019s inception, its presenters spoke to more than 4,000 students and community members in at least 50 venues across the state. It was ended in the fall of AY 2015-16.
