She works across disciplines intersecting her teaching, research, and creative work with the fields of International Communication, Latin American and Latino Studies, Ethnography, and Cinema Studies and Digital Cinema and Video Production. She is the author of the book <em>Latin American Telecommunications: Telef\u00f3nica\u2019s Conquest<\/em>, numerous documentaries including <em>Qoyllur Riti: A Woman\u2019s Journey<\/em>; <em>Respire Guatemala<\/em>; <em>Media, Women, and Rebellion in Oaxaca<\/em>; and <em>Keep Your Eyes on Guatemala<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This talk looks at the different ways in which \u201cfeminism\u201d gets to be articulated around the world, and in particular in the developing world, through media development.
