It explores the sanctions against Chile from the Inter-American&nbsp;Court for the wrongful application of the anti-terrorist law to the&nbsp;Mapuche leaders. The book reviews the testimonies of the leaders before&nbsp;the international tribunal, as well as offers aspects of the&nbsp;psychosocial expert testimony to unveil the harmful effects of the&nbsp;application of the Anti-terrorist law on members of the Mapuche people.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The families involved in the litigation narrate the effects of&nbsp;territorial dispossession, repression and the criminalization of their&nbsp;demands by the State in the first decades of the twenty-first century in&nbsp;Chile.<\/p>\n<p>Ruth Vargas-Forman is a Chilean psychotherapist and forensic&nbsp;psychologist who has worked extensively with national and international&nbsp;human rights organizations in promoting the use of the Istanbul Protocol&nbsp;and culturally sensitive psycho-forensic documentation. Dr. Vargas has&nbsp;offered expert testimony at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and&nbsp;at the United States Immigration Court. She currently serves as a&nbsp;psychotherapist at Options Counseling Services in Eugene, Oregon.<\/p>\n<p>This presentation will be of value to those interested in: FORENSIC&nbsp;PSYCHOLOGY AND
