A reception will be held at\u00a0230T HEDCO,\u00a0February 4,\u00a04:30-5:30 p.m.\u00a0UO faculty Dr. Stephanie Wood will introduce attendees to Oaxacan\u00a0history and culture, and attendees will be invited to tour the building\u00a0to view Jean&#8217;s art. Refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n<p>Jean moved to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2001 and is a Mexican citizen. Her art\u00a0is inspired by the landscape and culture of Oaxaca\u2014especially its\u00a0vibrant colors, its plant diversity, and its strong pre-Hispanic roots\u00a0infused into modern life. She lives in San Andr\u00e9s Huayapam with her\u00a0artist husband Chucho, their daughter Xochitl, 11 adopted dogs and two\u00a0cats. In addition to painting, she plays viola and writes poetry and\u00a0prose. All of Jean Foss&#8217; artwork may be viewed at JEANFOSS.COM.
