We are collaborating with the City of Eugene in their efforts to create more inclusive parks for the Latino community in Eugene. Feel free to stop and observe the process and also give us your input. We will be using James Rojas&#8217; &#8220;participation by play&#8221; method and he will be present at the Plaza Latina event on Sat. May 16th.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>A FUN AND INTERACTIVE PLACE TO TALK ABOUT ISSUES THE LATINO COMMUNITY IS FACING<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Workshops<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Latino Family Fun Night Friday May 8th 5:30 &#8211; 7:30 pm Petersen Barn Community Center 870 Berntzen Rd Eugene, OR<\/li>\n<li>Plaza Latina Saturday May 16th 10 am \u2013 4 pm Plaza Latina Market 1333 W 7th Eugene, OR<\/li>\n<li>Festival Latino Saturday May 30th 1 &#8211; 6 pm 418 A Street Springfield, OR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Workshop Description<\/h4>\n<p>Join us for a hands-on workshop designed by urban planner\/artist James Rojas and facilitated by students from the University of Oregon. Participants will get to engage with an interactive diorama and articulate their vision for city parks by using hundreds of repurposed, colorful objects.
