We expect to award at least two research grants for up to $5,000 each to advance faculty research that addresses Latinx or Latin American issues. We are especially interested in seed projects that speak to the CLLAS mission above and that have the potential to leverage future initiatives and resources.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>Award Details<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Two grants are available to support faculty research t<span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW198918929 BCX0\">hat fits within the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cllas.uoregon.edu\/about-cllas\/\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW198918929 BCX0\">C<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW198918929 BCX0\">LLAS <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW198918929 BCX0\">mission<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW198918929 BCX0\">, and has the potential to grow into larger projects in Latinx and\/or Latin American Studies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The maximum award is $5000 per proposal. There is no minimum to apply \u2013 smaller proposals are welcome. Most awards will range from $1000-$5000.<\/li>\n<li>This grant does not cover the cost of equipment such as cameras or laptops. Applicants are discouraged from using CLLAS funds to pay non-UO personnel or researchers.<\/li>\n<li>The award will support research-related activities carried out before December 31, 2026.<\/li>\n<li>Grant recipients are required to deliver a short research presentation in the 2026-2027 academic year. This event will be facilitated by CLLAS and open to UO and local community members.<\/li>\n<li>Grant recipients are expected to deliver photos\/video and a written summary of their research outcomes in Summer 2027.
