SOC 280. Introduction to Criminology. 4 Credits.
This course is designed to give you a broad introduction to criminology as a discipline, including measurements and definitions of crime, the myriad societal personal factors that explain crime, and criminal justice system processes and responses. We’ll also consider how criminology is woven into a range of careers in research, education, government, law, and non-profit organizations.
