LAW 735. Sustainable Business. 3 Credits.
This course reviews the impact of laws and social norms on the sustainability of businesses. Students will learn how business leaders, investors, legislators, regulators and other stakeholders can use legal mechanisms—regulations, fines or fees, tax incentives, tax penalties, and corporate governance rules and structures, as well as social norms—to encourage businesses to operate more sustainably.
