GSL 290. Introduction to Epidemiology. 4 Credits.

This course provides an introduction to the basic principles and methods of epidemiology. Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations, and it is considered a cornerstone of public health. Topics covered include study designs, infectious disease epidemiology and pandemics, and chronic disease, environmental, and social epidemiology. This course will strengthen your ability to think critically about population health, with an eye toward health equity and justice.
