DANC 385. African III. 2 Credits.

African Dance III offers students an advanced exploration of tradition, culture, history, music, storytelling, improvisation, and choreography through the study of dances from the African continent. These neo-traditional forms will also be explored in reference to the application of African Aesthetics to American Diasporic dance forms. Sequence with DANC 185, DANC 285.
Requisites: Prereq: DANC 285.
Repeatable 8 times for a maximum of 18 credits

Dance Minor

The Dance minor includes study in all four areas of the dance curriculum, technique, performance, creative practice, and theory.  The minor requires 26-credit hours of Dance and is designed for students who want to focus primarily in another area of study, while also pursuing their interest in dance.
