DANC 375. Hip Hop III. 2 Credits.

This advanced Hip Hop course focuses on developing freestyle techniques and battle culture by building on previous training. Students will enhance their skills through weekly freestyle video journals, tracking their progress, and providing peer feedback within their crew. The course explores "open style" battling, where individuality and movement history fuse for originality, alongside research into giants of the freestyle battle scene to analyze their strategies and success. The culmination will be a freestyle exhibition or battle.
Requisites: Prereq: DANC 276.
Repeatable 8 times for a maximum of 18 credits

Dance Minor

The Dance minor includes study in all four areas of the dance curriculum, technique, performance, creative practice, and theory.  The minor requires 26-credit hours of Dance and is designed for students who want to focus primarily in another area of study, while also pursuing their interest in dance.
