DANC 155. Hip Hop Foundations. 1 Credit.
This course is a beginning level Hip Hop technique class incorporating guided warm-up exercises, choreographed sequences, improvisation, and performance. The foundational elements of Hip Hop style including weighted stance, bounce and rock, groove, footwork, isolations, rhythmic clarity, and dynamics will be explored. Students will engage in choreography labs where they experiment individually with using Hip Hop vocabulary to create unique movement phrases. They will also work collaboratively in groups to create and present a movement project.
Repeatable 5 times for a maximum of 6 credits
