DANC 152. Ballet Foundations. 1 Credit.

Ballet 152 introduces the fundamental elements of classical ballet technique. This studio technique course aims to prepare beginners to perform basic ballet exercises at the barre and in center work. Special focus will be given to correct body alignment and movement, execution, familiarity with basic ballet terminology, and musicality expressed through this dance style.
Repeatable 5 times for a maximum of 6 credits

Dance Minor

The Dance minor includes study in all four areas of the dance curriculum, technique, performance, creative practice, and theory.  The minor requires 26-credit hours of Dance and is designed for students who want to focus primarily in another area of study, while also pursuing their interest in dance.
