DAN 352. Dance Composition II. 3 Credits.
This course is a continuation of skill development from Dance Composition I. Students will create studies that concentrate on details of formal compositional structure as well as some more contemporary models. The goal of this class is not to make finished dances, but to examine and refine elements of the craft that contribute to dance-making, to further develop and deepen an individual movement awareness and vocabulary, and to develop a shared creative dialogue from which to begin the process of training one’s critical eye for movement form. Sequence with DAN 252.
