BI 357. Marine Biology. 4 Credits.
Explores the diversity, ecology, and evolution of marine organisms and the physical, chemical, and geological processes that shape ocean ecosystems. Topics include taxonomy, natural history, trophic interactions, and human impacts on ocean health. Course components include lectures, laboratory investigations, and an optional field trip to the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology. Credits will be deducted for regression if BI 458 or BI 474 are taken first.
Requisites: Prereq: BI 223Z or BI 283H.
