The Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Music are primarily for students who want a broad liberal arts education while majoring in music. They typically involve approximately two or three years of music coursework. With the exception of Music Technology, students can be admitted to these majors without audition or portfolio submission. Through these programs, our faculty produce well-rounded, skilled scholars and performers who are flexible leaders with global perspectives and great people skills who become cultural influencers and entrepreneurs.

Global Studies (BA/BS)

Formerly known as international studies, global studies is an interdisciplinary major. What this means is that students can tailor majors to their own specific interests. Global studies provides an excellent general education for students interested in the complex interrelationships (political, economic, social, and cultural) of our interdependent modern world. The program offers students tools to make sense of a fast-changing global arena; it ensures the practical application of their research; and it immerses them in the language, history, and culture of a major world region.
