Operating with the belief that involved, informed parents and family members can be a valuable resource for their students as well as the larger university community, Parent and Family Programs offers programming and support for the parents and families of undergraduate students—sharing resources, coordinating events, and facilitating the UO Parent and Family Association.
Established in 2005 to enhance services provided to parents and family members of UO students, the Parent and Family Association (PFA) is a group of families who have joined together as active participants at their student's university. Families may join the PFA for a one-time membership fee of $70, allowing staff members of the association to provide increased communications, support, and event news for members. The one-time fee is waived for families who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant.
