As a result, ensuring that these students can progress seamlessly from a community college to a four-year university is imperative. This type of program articulation is best achieved by creating communities of faculty who work and learn together.<\/p>\n<p>We worked with the <a href=\"http:\/\/rl.uoregon.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Oregon Department of Romance Languages<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lanecc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lane Community College<\/a> to align language curriculum across the two schools. The articulation project helped ensure that students can transfer from one institution to another without needing to retaking courses. Faculty from both schools participated in professional development opportunities to address shared challenges, develop resources, improve pedagogy, and transform teaching practices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Community College Connection Level: University Languages: French, Spanish More and more students begin their college careers at two-year universities.
